Zero spangles can be achieved with a thickness of up to 3.0mm for both hot dip galvanizing and electro galvanizing.
HDG is a galvanizing process in which the substrate is immersed in a high-temperature solution. The size of the zinc spangle on the steel surface can be adjusted by controlling the cooling rate and can be achieved as a regular zinc spangle, a small zinc spangle, or a free spangle.
EG is electrochemically galvanized, which is more costly, has a thinner zinc layer, and does not create a spangle pattern on the steel surface during galvanization.
