PPGI Marble Design Process
Marble Pattern PPGI Coil is made from a cold-rolled steel substrate that undergoes galvanizing, painting, and printing. The production process allows for control of sheet thickness, galvanizing thickness, paint film, and printed patterns.
Substrate Processing
- Galvanized Steel (GI): The surface of cold-rolled steel sheets (steel coils) is hot-dip galvanized, forming a zinc layer that protects the underlying steel substrate from rust and corrosion.
Coating
- Pre-Painted (PP): One or more layers of organic coating (typically polyester resin, silicone-modified polyester, fluorocarbon resin, polyurethane, acrylic, etc.) are applied to the surface of galvanized steel (GI) and then cured by baking.
Marbling
- Printing/Transfer: Marbled patterns are transferred to the paint film using a marbled printing roller or transfer film before the coating is fully cured.
Coiling
- Steel Coil: Finished material is produced and supplied in continuous rolls. After purchase, it can be unrolled, cut into sheets (pre-painted steel sheets), or roll-formed as needed.
