PPGI Coil Slitting, also known as prepainted galvanized steel slitting、PPGI strips, is a product produced by high-precision slitting of wide PPGI coils. Thickness, coating, surface effects, and patterns can all be customized.
PPGI Slitting
Wanzhi Group’s factory features high-precision PPGI coil slitting equipment with a production capacity range of 0.15-2.5mm thick and 50-1650mm wide, with an accuracy of ±0.1mm.
Pre-treatment:
- Unwinding → Seaming → Alkaline Degreasing → Cleaning → Passivation → Drying to ensure a clean substrate surface.
Coating:
- Pre-coating: Roller-apply primer (epoxy or polyester), followed by a bake-cure at 200-250°C.
- Fine Coating: Roller-apply topcoat (polyester, fluorocarbon, etc.), followed by a bake-cure at 180-220°C.
- The typical process is “two coats, two bakes” (for building boards) or “three coats, three bakes” (for appliance boards).
Post-processing:
- Air/water cooling → Winding → Slitting, with controlled winding tension to prevent scratches.
Slitting:
- Precision-made circular blades are used, with the upper and lower blades overlapping at a specific angle to create a “shearing” effect. Slitting widths range from tens to hundreds of millimeters.
