What Does DX52D Z275 Mean?
D stands for low carbon structural steel suitable for cold forming; X indicates that the substrate’s rolling state is unspecified; 52 denotes the mechanical grade number; and the final D signifies hot-dip galvanizing. DX52D determines the processing characteristics, making it soft, easy to bend, and easy to stamp.
Z represents a pure hot-dip galvanized coating (as opposed to aluminum-zinc or zinc-aluminum-magnesium coatings), while 275 indicates a total zinc coating weight of 275 g/m² on both sides. Z275 defines the corrosion resistance, providing a high zinc content, strong rust prevention, and long service life.
