Production Process of Slitting Steel Coils
- Uncoiling: Raw master steel coil is loaded onto uncoiler to unwind flat steel strip.
- Leveling: Strip passes through leveling machine to eliminate camber & surface irregularity.
- Precision Slitting: High-speed cutter splits wide strip into customized narrow widths with smooth burr-free edges.
- Edge Trimming: Optional edge trimming removes uneven sides for tight tolerance.
- Recoiling: Finished narrow strips are rewound into compact slit coils.
- Final Packing: Coils are bundled, labeled & palletized per export standards.
Surface Standard & Spangle Finish of Slitting Steel Coils
- Surface Standard: Slit coils shall be free from bubbles, scars, cracks, folds and inclusions without delamination. Minor red oxide scale is acceptable; other minor surface flaws cannot protrude or recess over half of thickness tolerance. Defect polishing is permitted as long as minimum strip thickness & width are kept with smooth polished area.
- Spangle Options: There are four spangle types: regular, big, small and zero spangle. Precision slitting safeguards the original zinc coating without peeling or scratching, keeping spangle patterns complete across finished strips.
