Orange Peel Process
- Substrate Preparation: First, degrease and clean the galvanized steel coil. Then, a chemical conversion coating is formed on the surface through a chromium-free passivation or chromization treatment.
- Primer Application: Select epoxy resin (EP), polyurethane, or polyester as the coating. Roll-coat a 5-20 micron thick film on the galvanized steel surface.
- Topcoat Application – Orange Peel Formation: Select a functional paint such as polyester, fluorocarbon, or highly weather-resistant polyester as the topcoat. Use a micro-dimpled textured roller to apply one or more layers of the textured coating to the steel surface.
- Texture Curing: High-temperature heating is used to cure the texture.
- Cooling: The cured PPGI steel is cooled by air quenching and then used.
- Coiling: The coil is stored and shipped.
