100 tons of Galvanized Wire to Chile

Recently, the 100 tons of galvanized wire purchased from Wanzhi Group for a Chilean customer has arrived at the customer’s factory. We are honored to receive the return drawings from the customer, and the production department of the customer’s factory has expressed their satisfaction with the quality of the galvanized wire, and the uniformity of the zinc layer.

Customer Background

Chile is an important mining and agricultural country in South America and has a strong demand for metal protection materials. Our customer is a leading engineering material supplier from Chile, who purchases galvanized wire from China for the production of protective mesh and other materials and sells it locally. The customer’s requirements were very specific about steel that is resistant to high humidity and high temperatures as well as to strong UV rays, and we provided a galvanized steel wire solution that complied with the ASTM A641 Class 3 standard, which ultimately led to our first cooperation.

Galvanized wire solution

Hot dipped galvanized wire has high tensile strength, toughness, easy to bend, stretch, shear and other processing, suitable for use in wet, corrosive environments, outdoor environments or harsh climatic conditions. According to the effect of salt spray environment on galvanized products in coastal mining areas, we improve the thickness of galvanized layer from conventional 40μm to 80μm, through 720 hours of salt spray test, and use cold drawing process to improve the tensile strength to 550-700MPa.

Feedback from Chilean Customers

The 100 tons of galvanized wire purchased from Wanzhi Group has already arrived at the customer’s factory. Although the galvanized wire has not yet been put into production, the customer has given us a positive feedback, expressing their approval of the material of our galvanized wire.
