What is S250GD Z275 Galvanized Steel?
S250GD Z275 GI steel is a structural steel product with a zinc coating, specified under EN 10346. In “S250GD,” “S” denotes structural steel, while “250” indicates a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa. “GD” identifies the steel as a grade intended for hot-dip coated products. “Z275” means the total zinc coating mass on both sides is 275 g/m². S250GD Steel Mechanical Properties
S250GD+Z, S250GD+ZF, S250GD+ZA, S250GD+ZM, S250GD+AZ, and S250GD+AS use the same S250GD steel grade and have the same specified mechanical properties under EN 10346: a minimum yield strength of 250 MPa, a minimum tensile strength of 330 MPa, and a minimum A80 elongation of 19% for thicknesses >0.70 mm. The main difference lies in the metallic coating composition. The minimum A80 elongation is reduced for thinner products.
