SGCC Galvanized Steel Coil Processing
SGCC galvanized steel coil is a mild steel substrate with a zinc coating applied by hot dip galvanizing. The zinc layer protects the steel from corrosion caused by oxygen, water, and other substances in the air and extends the service life of the steel.
Process
- Substrate: Mild steel, pickled and washed to remove surface impurities.
- Hot-dip galvanizing: Steel is immersed in a high-temperature zinc solution, which deposits a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel.
- Cooling: The galvanized steel is cooled to solidify the zinc layer.
- Cutting and forming: The galvanized coils are cut or formed according to requirements.
- Quality control: The finished GI steel is tested for surface effect and physical properties.
- Packing: Packing according to export packing standards.
