0.5mm GI Coil Manufacturing Process
- Raw Material Preparation: Cold-rolled steel coils are selected as the substrate and inspected for thickness, surface quality, and mechanical properties.
- Cleaning & Surface Preparation: The steel strip is cleaned through alkaline degreasing and rinsing processes to remove oil, dust, and surface impurities.
- Annealing Treatment: The cleaned steel strip is heated in an annealing furnace to improve mechanical properties and prepare the surface for galvanizing.
- Hot-Dip Galvanizing: The annealed steel strip passes through a molten zinc bath to form a uniform zinc coating.
- Zinc Coating Control & Cooling: Air knives regulate the zinc coating thickness, followed by cooling and solidification to ensure a consistent galvanized layer.
- Skin Passing & Surface Treatment: The galvanized strip undergoes skin passing to improve flatness and surface quality, followed by surface treatment such as passivation or oiling.
- Inspection & Quality Control: Finished GI coils are tested for thickness, zinc coating mass, surface quality, and mechanical properties.
- Recoiling & Packaging: The inspected GI coils are recoiled, weighed, labeled, and packed with protective materials for storage and export.
