What is Galvanizing?
Galvanizing is a surface treatment technique where a layer of zinc is chemically or electrochemically applied to the surface of a metal, or an alloy of steel, to protect it from environmental corrosion and rust. Since zinc is more chemically active, when it encounters corrosive substances the zinc layer will preferentially undergo a chemical reaction, isolating air and moisture to protect the metal from corrosion.
What Galvanizing Processes Are Available?
There are three common types of galvanizing processes: hot dip galvanizing, electro galvanizing, and zinc spraying. The surface effect, zinc layer thickness, and corrosion resistance of the products produced by the different processes are different.
Hot-dip galvanizing

How to Increase the Life of Galvanized Steel?

Surface Finish
