GL Steel Customization
Our GL Steel offers full-chain customization from “substrate – coating – surface treatment – finished product form,” covering different needs such as commercial grade, structural grade, and deep drawing grade.
Substrate: The substrate material of AZ80 GL Steel can be customized according to customer processing requirements and load-bearing requirements. Common substrate grades include: commercial grade (DX51D+AZ), structural grade (S350GD+AZ), and deep drawing grade (DX53D+AZ). Yield strength ≥235MPa, tensile strength 350-500MPa, elongation ≥18%.
Coating: AZ30-AZ150 (30-150g/m²), salt spray test (no red rust) ≥360 hours (each 10g/m² increase in coating weight extends corrosion resistance life by approximately 2-3 years).
Surface Treatment: Oiling (short-term rust prevention), anti-fingerprint (prevents fingerprints/stains), phosphating (enhances coating adhesion), etc.
Finished Products: galvalume steel coil (continuously rolled and coiled), galvalume steel sheet (cut-to-length flat sheets), galvalume steel strips (narrow strips after slitting), PPGL (pre-painted aluminized zinc steel), and other deep-processed finished products.

AZ80 Galvalume Steel Feature
Ideal Protection in Moderate Environments
- The 80-gram zinc-aluminum-silicon alloy coating forms a dense Al-Zn-Si oxide film, providing 3-4 times longer lifespan than ordinary galvanized steel of the same thickness (Z80). It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in various environments, with an outdoor corrosion resistance lifespan of 20-25 years.
Excellent Processing and Mechanical Properties
- GL steel substrates of different grades can meet various processing needs such as shearing, bending, welding, load-bearing, stamping, and forming. The ductility of the 80-gram coating allows it to withstand various processing methods such as roll forming, stamping, and bending.
Excellent Heat Resistance and Heat Reflective Properties
- The heat resistance temperature of aluminum-zinc coated steel is 315°C for long-term use and can reach 480°C for short periods. The heat reflectivity can reach 75-80%, making it suitable for medium-temperature applications such as oven liners and flues. When used for building roofs, it can lower indoor temperatures.
Optimal Cost and Appearance
- Aluminum-zinc coated steel has a uniform silver-gray surface with regular, fine zinc spangles and a delicate texture. The AZ80 aluminum-zinc coating is also the golden balance point between performance and cost, suitable for most outdoor applications.
